Blog Reflections-general experiences(+/-), small groups, and classroom connections
I felt very intimidated by the thought of blogging. I had heard of blogging, but I had no idea what blogging was about. It was fairly easy to set up, but it was difficult to get the blog to actually work. A html problem with took days to correct. I tried, but I just could not figure it out. Finally, I solicited help and I was able to correct the problem.
Using the blogs with small groups was much better than the whole class experience. I was able to communicate with that select group of people rather than trying to respond to all of the blogs. However, I think it would have been better to decide on the dates that group members should respond by. Responding between September 29th and October 7th was too long of a time frame and too vague.
I made several classroom connections through the use of blogs. I learned how I can use blogs in my own classroom, and I also gained information about what my colleagues are doing in their classrooms. Without this blog, I would not have been privileged to this information.
